Studio Vint offers a full range of residential design services, from furniture and artwork procurement to interior design, renovations, extensions and whole-home new builds.
No two projects are the same, and no two clients are either. We take time to listen, ask the right questions and collaborate closely, so that what we design is a genuine reflection of the people we're designing for. The result is something personal, considered and shaped around how each client actually lives.
The experience matters as much as the outcome. From the first conversation to the final detail, we aim to make the journey as enjoyable and straightforward as possible, and to exceed expectations at every stage.
The way we work reflects that. Dependent on what you need from us, our services and process are tailored accordingly, with each stage building on the last.
The Process
0. The Brief
The Studio Vint and client collaboration begins with an initial design consultation. We take time to understand your lifestyle, design direction and budget, and use that to shape a Project Brief which forms the foundation of everything that follows. This is presented alongside a fee proposal before any work begins.
1. Concept Design
This is where the design starts to take shape. Working from your brief, we explore a range of sketch designs and present you with the strongest options, working through each space individually before bringing it together as a whole. We pull together inspiration and translate it into early layouts, supported by 3D visualisation models where helpful. This stage is deliberately fluid, giving you room to respond, refine and tweak before anything is locked in.
2. Design Development
With the concept agreed, we refine the design toward a fully resolved scheme. Layouts are finalised and we present the finishes and fixtures palettes, supported by imagery, 3D visualisations and tactile samples where helpful, bringing the spaces to life before anything is built.
If planning permission is required, we can prepare and submit the application on your behalf, coordinating any specialist consultants needed to support it.
3. Construction Documentation
This is the most detailed stage of the process. We finalise all materials, finishes, fixtures and fittings across interior and exterior spaces, coordinate consultants, suppliers and subcontractors, and meet with you to work through any remaining selections. Everything is carefully collated into a comprehensive package, drawings, interior schedules and consultant information, ready to tender to your builders and trades. Where required, this documentation is also used to obtain the Construction Certificate.
4. Construction
As your project moves on site, we work closely with you, your builder and any relevant trades to ensure the design is executed as documented. We remain available throughout to answer queries, resolve details as they arise and keep things running as smoothly as possible.
FEES
As our services vary from project to project, so too do our fees, adjusted to reflect the scope of our engagement, so that every client is charged a fair reflection of what their project actually involves.
