At Studio Vint we take pride in our architectural detailing. Each small detail begins to characterise the building as a whole; the junctions where materials meet, the connections between building components. Our designs aim to achieve order, clean lines and clarity.
Frameless rooflights allow the clouds to sail by the top of walls. Full height sliding panels bring flexibility to spaces, allowing zones to be open or divided - these panels retract into pockets & niches to minimise their presence when open. Shadow gaps allow the stone worktop to float over the walnut cabinet joinery. Lighting is carefully considered; often recessed into slots to provide light without the visual distraction of the fittings. Flush skirting boards maintain the clean lines of walls, whist ensuring durability is maintained.
Visualisations and 3D Models
Studio Vint frequently use 3D computer modelling during the design process. Massing models explore different options at an early stage and inform relationships to the existing site & buildings. Whilst sketch models provide a more in depth understanding of the proposed design.
We also undertake more realistic renders for developer marketing or clients who wish to explore finishes in finer detail.
THE PROCESS
Studio Vint have a clear framework to guide you through the process of achieving your project. We understand that each project varies and some clients may only wish to engage us for part of the process. Please contact us to discuss your project further and arrange a free site consultation. Following this meeting we will provide you with a tailored fee proposal that will outline the specific services that you will require.
Our architectural and interior design studio offers a full range of services, including;
Site Study & Brief
At the beginning of your project we shall meet with you to discuss your lifestyle, design aspirations and budget in order to develop a project brief. We shall also assess the site opportunities and constraints. If required a chartered surveyor will undertake a detailed measured survey of the site/building.
Concept Design
Based upon your brief, we will explore different sketch designs from which we will present you with the best options. We often provide 3D visualisation models to support the CAD drawings.
Design Development & Planning Application
During this stage we refine the design for your approval. If planning permission is required we will produce a package to submit on your behalf. We will advise if your planning application requires additional information from specialist consultants.
Detailed Design
We will work with your appointed structural engineer and any other necessary consultants to produce a set of detailed drawings and a specification to submit to building control on your behalf. Dependant on our appointment we can go into a greater depth of architectural detail and interior design – specifying finishes, fittings and fixtures that enables the project to be tendered more accurately and built to your exacting requirements.
The Build
Throughout the construction of your project we can continue to liaise with your builder to ensure the build runs as smoothly as possible.
